AWS Global Infrastructure

• Region: Region is a Geographical location with Availability Zones (AZ). Each Region has a code and every AZ has an id
• Regions also have local zones which they can add as additional zones (AZ)
• Wavelength zones are 5G carrier network supported
  
• Edge Locations:
  • They help in establishing direct connectivity with AWS Global network (AWS Direct Connect)
