Azure Database for MySQL

• This is relational database service for MySQL Community Edition with database engine versions 5.6, 5.7 and 8.0

• Deployment Models

• Azure Database for MySQL Single Server

  • Creation:
  • Replication: Replication is supported in General Purpose and Memory Optimized tier,where we can create read replica for the current database
  • Backups and Point in time restore.

• Exercise:

  • Create an Azure SQL Database from
    • Azure CLI
    • Azure PowerShell
  • Steps:
    • Create a resource group
    • Create an Azure SQL Server
    • Create an Azure SQL Database
    • Add an Azure SQL Firewall rule to open for any or particular IP address
