- Provisioned IOPS SSD: Provides high performance for mission-critical, low-latency or high throughput workloads

- Durability: 99.8%-99.9% (0.1 – 0.2% of annual failure rate)
- Usecases:
- Workloads that require sustained IOPS performance or more than 16,000 IOPS
- I/O-intensive Database Workload

- Durability: 99.999% (0.001 of annual failure rate)

- Data Warehouses
- Log Processing
- Volume Size: 125 GiB – 16 TiB
- Max IOPS per volume: 500
- Max Throughput per volume: 500 MiB/s
- Cold HDD:
- The lowest cost HDD designed for less frequently accessed workloads
- Volume Type: sc1
- Durability: 99.8%-99.9% (0.1 – 0.2% of annual failure rate)

- Scenarios where lowest storage cost is important
