Activity: Setting up SSH Tunneling access for mysql rds instance

  • Tunneling Connection
    • Overview: Preview

    • Ensure you have mysql rds instance which is not publically accessible

    • Create an ec2 instance with public ip address Preview

    • Create a mysql workbench connection to mysql as shown below Preview Preview Preview

Activity: Create Some tables in the mysql instance and create a one time backup

  • Execute the following SQL Statements in mysql Workbench
