Monitoring

• Monitoring is the continous process of collection , metrixs, logs, tracking application.

Metric

• cpu
• memory
• network
• disk IP
• disk OP
• Iops – read/wirte -persecond

consisting of Metrics

1. Name – what being measured (cpu, memory…etc)
2. value- quantity at point of time (measure percentance at point of specific time how much cpu utilized)
3. Timestamp – when you want measure was recorded

Monitoring helps team:

• Detect issue before impact (ex: get notification when system reach to 89%)
• setup alerts/alarms for Threshold (Threshold is like boundry for your rules)
• Take action automatically -> scalling or notification or activity
