Database Migration Scenario

• Scenario:

  • Adventure Works Application Database is on Premise.
  • Goal is to migarate to Azure SQL
  • Database Engine: SQL Express 2017

• Setup on Source(laptop):

  • SQL Server Express 2017:
    • Download: refer here
    • Installation: refer here
    • Restore Database from the back file over here

• Setup on Azure:

  • Create a Resource group
  • Create a azure migrate project in the above mentioned resource group
  • Add assessment and migration tools for Databases
