Global Infra

  1. Region:
    • Geographical Location
    • Regions code => <Continent>-<direction>-<regioncount>
    • Examples:
      • Mumbai => ap-south-1
      • NVirginia => us-east-1
      • Oregon => us-west-2
  2. Availability Zone:
    • Actual place where you have Datacenters
    • Naming convention is <region-code><alphabet>
    • Eg: us-west-2a, us-west-2b, ap-south-1a

Cloud Terms

  1. Service:
    • Offerings by Amazon
    • Examples:
      • RDS => Databases
      • EC2 => Virtual Machines
      • VPC => Network
  2. Resource:
    • Using Service whatever you have created is a Resource

Example of Create a Network resource using VPC Service

  • Network scope is region
  • Subnets scope is Availability Zone
